Shift to your own words
What happens when the editor picks up the pen?

Shift to your own words.

What happens when the editor picks up the pen.

Cathrin Bradbury spent decades shaping other people’s stories, as an editor and senior leader at The Toronto Star, CBC, Maclean’s, and The Globe and Mail. Then, she did something much harder. She started telling her own.

Cathrin is the author of two books: the memoir The Bright Side: Twelve Months, Three Heartbreaks, and One (Maybe) Miracle, and her latest, This Way Up: Old Friends, New Love, and a Map for the Road Ahead.

At the Shift Sessions, she’ll speak about what it means to make a major career and life shift later in life. To retire, but not really. To leave marriage, and find yourself. To go from editor to writer, and discover that the real story is always your own.
