Richard Rohr talks about the two halves of life. The first is the one where you beleive that its all up to you. The second begins when you understand that it isn’t. Crossing the threshold isn’t always obvious. But in hindsight, we can see the path was leading us there all along.
Claire’s path wound from stepping back from her company to moving onto a sailboat, and spending the next few years wrestling with the transition. Was she hiding or seeking? Escaping or letting go? The path eventually led her onto the Camino de Santiago where everything came into focus on Day 26 of her walk. On that day, rocks became stones and yellow post-its became yellow arrows. And Claire started to understand that it is not the lantern that lights the path, its the light in the lantern.
Claire is the founder and co-owner of Lux Insights, a market research firm. She wrote “The Achiever Fever Cure” in 2019 and spent the next four years as a liveaboard on a sailboat with her partner Chris. She has no idea what’s next and is grateful for that.
