Jae Kim has built a career bringing people, ideas and resources together around some of society’s most complex challenges.

A former New York lawyer, Jae traded courtrooms for social impact and has since helped philanthropists, foundations and organizations turn generosity into meaningful action. Her work has supported initiatives addressing homelessness, poverty, mental health, addiction and the global refugee crisis. She has advised and served on the boards of organizations in Canada and around the world.

As emcee of SHIFT Sessions, Jae will be our guide for the evening. Thoughtful, curious and naturally quick-witted, she has a knack for connecting people and ideas, asking the right questions, and helping us see the bigger conversation — all while keeping the evening moving without ever feeling rushed.

And yes, before entering the world of social impact, she worked on some fascinating legal cases, including one involving Martha Stewart. Because apparently every good emcee biography needs at least one unexpected plot twist.
