The Shift to Brave
Courage isn’t a moment. It’s a mindset.
Steve Pratt used to specialize in helping others be “Creatively Brave.” He co-founded Pacific Content, helped pioneer the branded podcast industry, and worked with brands like Slack, Dell, and McAfee. He quickly learned that companies that found the most success were the ones who took the biggest creative risks. Then, in midlife, he decided to apply the same lessons to himself. He walked away to start asking what “Creative Bravery” meant in his own life.
In this Shift Session, Steve explores the power of choosing Creative Bravery. Not just once, but again and again. He’ll talk about the quiet discomfort of reinvention, the surprising freedom that comes with letting go of old identities, and the value of starting before you're ready.
His latest project is The Midlife Field Guide, a year-long public experiment with longtime collaborator Geoff Siskind. Together, they are testing what it means to live with purpose, joy, and curiosity at midlife. From marathon training to silent retreats to psychedelic therapy, they are saying yes to Creatively Brave experiments and documenting the lessons along the way.
This session is for anyone wondering what's next, and whether they have the courage to find out.
