Tamara Taggart has spent more than 30 years asking questions, telling stories and earning the trust of audiences across Canada.
A veteran broadcaster, community leader, activist and cancer survivor, Tamara has devoted much of her life to health care, children and people with disabilities. She chaired major campaigns for BC Women’s Hospital and the BC Cancer Foundation, helping raise more than $33 million for neonatal care, cancer research and treatment.
Her TED Talk, Two Conversations That Changed My Life, has been shared with medical professionals and universities around the world, challenging health-care practitioners to think differently about the way they communicate hope.
In recognition of her public service, Tamara was appointed to the Order of British Columbia and received an honorary Doctor of Laws from the University of the Fraser Valley.
Warm, candid and refreshingly unfiltered, Tamara brings humour and humanity to conversations about resilience, identity and what happens when the life you carefully built suddenly asks you to build something new.
